Should we use deionized water for cooling?
The rule of thumb in induction process is that you want plain distilled water.
The rule of thumb in induction process is that you want plain distilled water. You do not want deionized water because it tends to ionize. You spent a lot of energy to deionize the water, its usual tendency is to ionize, and it basically ionizes byconsuming metals. Inside the induction heating circuit, coppers, or brasses
will get eaten up or consumed by the deionized water.
