Is it possible to use a thermocouple or infrared optical for brazing aluminum?
Using a thermocouple is probably not a good practical solution for brazing aluminum. since aluminum doesn't like to stick to anything.
Using a thermocouple is probably not a good practical solution for brazing aluminum. since aluminum doesn't like to stick to anything. Attaching a thermocouple to it would be difficult and if you're running any kind of volume, that could be impractical.
Optical process, if set up correctly, can work well with aluminum brazing process. If the shininess of the aluminum changes from part to part or from batch to batch, the infrared process might not work very well. If you present a consistent finish to the aluminum to the optical pyrometer, then your best bet would be to use a device like an optical parameter.
